The boundaries between video games and real-world sports are narrowing over time, especially with motorsport like Formula 1. Recently, a video went viral of the former F1 driver Nico Rosberg who was proved wrong in F1 22.

Nico Rosberg is one of the most successful drivers in F1 history, having won the World Championship title in 2016 against his highly talented teammate Lewis Hamilton. But the German retired from motorsport the following year.

He returned behind the steering wheels, but this time in a virtual setting. Rosberg has a YouTube channel where he plays the racing simulation game F1 22. Further, he also shows others how to drive on the famous F1 circuits through the virtual setting.

The first corner drama with Nico Rosberg in F1 22

A few days ago, Rosberg uploaded a short video where he was getting ready to take a lap in F1 22. But someone from behind the camera advised the 37-year-old German to be careful at Turn 1 as it’s slippery.

But Rosberg possibly didn’t like getting advice from that person. He laughed off the instruction and said“Man, you’re kidding me? You’re talking to an F1 World Champion. Telling that the first corner is slippery.”

When the 2016 World Champion started playing, he faced issues at the first corner. Then the clip shows how amused Rosberg was to get advice on how to drive on an F1 circuit, as he did that for most of his life.

But then the YouTube short ends with the message, “He was right.” Rosberg eventually agreed that he was wrong to laugh at the advice. But the former driver enjoyed the incident as he even titled the video, “The First Corner was Fun.”

Ever since Rosberg started making F1 22-track tutorial videos, he has covered most active circuits. But when he was covering the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya, the 37-year-old had a poor flashback.

When Nico reached Turn 3 of the circuit, he claimed not to know much about it and wanted to skip the explanation for that turn. The crash with his former Mercedes teammate Hamilton in the 2016 Spanish GP still haunts Mercedes driver.
