In his Podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience”, Joe talked about his issues with video games. He shared that he “used to have a real problem with them“. Rogan’s views were inclined towards the fact that video games can do no good to kids.

In the podcast, Joe said, “video games are a real problem” because he thinks they can be very addictive, as “they’re simply too fun”. To solidify his claims he brought up the subject of Jiu-Jitsu. He continued that a person can learn Jiu-Jitsu for three years and become a purple belt.
After getting enough experience, they can teach others the art and earn money from it, or they can even participate in competitive matches to become a grand master. Compared to the Jiu-Jitsu reference, Rogan believed that playing video games for 3 years would not take the players anywhere in life.
The statement stirred a storm as Joe made headlines. People from the Esports community and online content creators started criticizing him for having a narrow perspective. Among many, Logan Paul was one of the few influencers who stood by Rogan’s side.

Even though Paul’s earlier career was boasted by video games like Fortnite and Pokemon GO, he still supported Joe Rogan and stood by his statement. According to Paul, Rogan was “Factually right” but he “Slipped up with his verbiage”.
