After Leaving A Notable Mark On Boxing Legend Floyd Mayweather, Deji Breaks Down on Why He Lost Against The 50-0 Champion – ‘Floyd’s Tactics’

On Sunday the world witnessed the highly anticipated match between the Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and YouTuber Deji. Being true to the common expectation, Floyd was the one who came up victorious. But even though the newcomer had little to no chance of winning this bout, he did show a brilliant performance and even gave the GOAT a black eye. 

On the other hand, Oladeji Daniel Olatunji aka Deji is a Youtuber turned Boxer who made his debut just a few years ago. Deji is still a rookie in the boxing world, yet he still managed to get his opportunity to fight against one of the best fighters in boxing history. Though it was an exhibition match, Deji pushed himself as much as he could to give Floyd a worthy fight. 

Deji uncovers the “Nitty-Gritty” of his fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr

After his fight on Sunday at the Coca stadium in Dubai, Deji uploaded a video on his channel, going into the details about the bout. He revealed Floyd’s pre-fight “tactics”. He shared how there were some planned discrepancies afoot, to pull Deji out of his zone.

Deji recollected the scenarios leading up to the big fight. He said just before the match-up, Floyd’s team came up to them and requested some changes in the fight’s contract. They demanded that Floyd want to fight with 10-ounce gloves instead of 14, which was fixed according to the contract. 

Then Deji also shared that the team had told him, Floyd just wants to play with him, he won’t hit him hard. Which according to him, wasn’t the case at all. Floyd went all out and when Deji told him to relax he said, “Shut up, I am Floyd Mayweather, I do what I want“.

Deji took the fight as a win 

In the end of the video, Deji expressed that he is seeing his experience with the fight as a win. Because according to him, Floyd wasn’t even bruised by any of his opponents before. But Deji managed to give him a black eye, which is a huge achievement in the YouTuber’s eyes. 

Now Deji will be looking forward to his rematch with arch-nemesis Jake Paul. Even before, his big fight against Floyd Deji had expressed how desperate he was to get back in the ring against the Young Paul Brother.
