Blizzard’s highly anticipated RPG dungeon-crawling game, Diablo 4, offers players a wide range of customization options, allowing them to create unique builds and playstyles. Within the game, the most powerful items are the “Unique” items, but they are equally hard to find, so much so that some players questioned their existence. 

Recently, a Necromancer player in China had an extraordinary stroke of luck by obtaining one of the six Unique items in the game. The second ultra-rare item is a fearsome two-handed sword known as The Grandfather, which befits its legendary status.

The Grandfather in Diablo 4 boasts an astonishing 2,740 damage, delivered at a rate of about one hit per second. Additionally, it provides an impressive 84% bonus to critical strike damage. Equipping The Grandfather also grants a substantial +72 points to all attributes and an impressive 3,526 bonus points to the wielder’s maximum health.

This powerful weapon was discovered in a Helltide Event chest, where all the enemies were level 85 or higher. The high enemy level is a requirement for any of the Unique items to have a chance of dropping.

The revelation of The Grandfather comes after the recent discovery of another Unique item, Andariel’s Visage, a helmet. The rarity of these Unique items became so extreme that players started doubting their existence, prompting a Diablo 4 developer to confirm their reality on Twitter.

Now, the hunt is on for the remaining four Unique items in Diablo 4, and it’s expected that they will be uncovered sooner rather than later, given the fervor with which the player base is searching for them. As players eagerly continue their exploration of the game’s vast world, the anticipation for discovering these rare and powerful items grows.
