Nintendo recently released a lengthy statement in which they notified not to offer a license to Smash World Tour (SWT) to host the much-awaited Smash Bros. events, the final 2022 championship, and the 2023 tour. The Japanese giants took this decision based on SWT’s proposal and discovering their unlicensed activities. Undoubtedly, this was sad news for all the fans who eagerly waited to attend the event.

Ludwig stepped in to take the fans out of the sorrow. He wrote on Twitter, I’ll be selling tickets to my chessboxing event for $1 for the next hour.” Although, he also said, “Hopefully, I don’t go bankrupt,” after announcing the $1 tickets. Undoubtedly, it was a massive gesture from the YouTube streamer for his fans who couldn’t attend the SWT event. Later, Ludwig also shared a stat that he nearly sold $100,000 for just $2000.

For those without context, the YouTube streamer is hosting the Mogul Chessboxing Championship on December 11, 2022, at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. This upcoming event by the YouTube streamer is going to be a unique competition. This chessboxing tournament would feature 12 big-name content creators and streamers, like DisguisedToast, Myth, and Sardoche.
