Epic Games Store Encountered a Bug that is Causing Serious Performance Issue

Epic Games is offering free games with the Winter Sale but a bug with the virtual store has slipped through the cracks. This unusual bug in the application has caused an uproar in the community as it is hindering the performance of their computers. Thankfully, the gaming giant was quick to respond to the aforementioned issue.

Developers of the Epic Games app offered a response 

Epic quickly responded to the issue that was causing the performance of the computers to dip. The bug would render the idle app running in the background, which would ultimately raise the idle CPU temps to a concerning height.

In response, the studio came up with quick fix with the 11.0.2 version of the app that addressed the issue. The update for the app has gone live, and users may notice the drop in idle CPU temperatures.

Although it is not seen as a total fix Epic has promised that it will improve the performance.
