Epic Games top execs have praised Sony’s PlayStation 5 by describing it as a ‘masterpiece of systems design’. Nick Penwarden, VP of engineering at Epic Games has hailed the console after working on its dev kit.
Epic Games’ Execs comment on the Playstation 5
In an interview with the Official Playstation Magazine, as reported by Gamesradar.com, Penwarden says

“The PlayStation 5 is a masterpiece of systems design. Not only is it driving a huge leap in computing and graphics performance, but it is also revolutionary in terms of storage and data compression technology, unlocking new kinds of games and experiences for players to enjoy.”
Epic Games’ CTO Kim Libreri also commented saying “next-gen graphics and processing power will not only make games more immersive, but will also enable entirely new gameplay concepts that can take advantage of fully dynamic environments and lighting, much-improved physics, smarter AI, and richer multiplayer experiences.”

You can never underestimate Sony
This may change the perspectives of a lot of console fans out there who are convinced that the Xbox Series X has better hardware than the PS5. This may be true on paper but this still does not prove that it is superior to the PS5 in any way when it comes to immersive gameplay. By what these top execs at Epic Games have said, it appears that Sony just might have the upper hand here.

PS5 also has a ton of new exclusive titles coming out. Additionally, Marvel’s Avengers will be available as a free upgrade on PS5, if purchased on the PS4. CD Projekt Red also announced that they will be doing the same for their upcoming title Cyberpunk 2077. PlayStation also announced that the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 had additional pro skaters to choose from. It will also have the ‘Warehouse Mode’, which is the iconic first level in the original THPS game.
PlayStation’s super-fast SSD also gives the console an edge in terms of game loading time. All said and done, you can never underestimate Sony’s capabilities when it comes to delivering high-performance consoles. The company has continually provided us with exclusives and hardware that are absolutely top-notch. This only excites us more as to what the PS5 actually has in store for us.
