“Entitled Football Player”: Aaron Rodgers Once Candidly Narrated a Painful College Memory That Gave Him an Introduction to Haters He Would Face All His Life

Green Bay had a revolutionary quarterback when the Packers made Aaron Rodgers the QB1. The Chico native has had unmatched success in the NFL and is running it strong with the franchise. However, back in his Cal days, he had some people who did not believe in his football ambitions. But he stood solid and proved them wrong.

During an interview, Aaron Rodgers looked back to his Cal-Berkley days as a student. Rodgers submitted a paper during a breakout session of the food appreciation class, and she gave him an F. The quarterback was not an F student, as he received an A and a B. He approached the breakout class leaders, who advised him to speak with the professor. Everyone in the class got to rework it, but A-Rod did not.

Aaron Rodgers then mentioned, “I went to the professor. ‘Hey, what happened with this?’ She said, Well, you’re an entitled football player… ‘What do you want to do when you grow up?’ I said I want to play professional sports. She laughed at me and said, ‘You’ll ever make it, you’ll get hurt. You won’t be good enough. It was a stupid idea,’ and I said okay. Thank you for the advice.”

The Packers quarterback also addressed the moment during his famous appearance at The Joe Rogan Experience. He said the professor ripped him apart and heavily critiqued his future goals.

Rodgers began his college career at Oroville’s Butte College before heading to UC Berkeley. He left after two years, approached the 2005 NFL draft, and Green Bay chose him in the initial round at No. 24.

Aaron Rodgers may not do what Tom Brady is doing
