However, the ex-Manchester United star was spotted training at his first club, Crewe Alexandra. Powell began his career at Crewe Alexandra, initially as a forward, making his debut at the age of 16. Later, he joined United from The Alex back in 2012 and created a name for himself.
Unfortunately, Powell faced the last two seasons derailed by injuries, affecting and questioning his performance. He started only nine Championship matches in 2022/23, down from 14 the previous term. Powell, throughout his Stoke City tenure, has been riddled with injuries. However, his game-changing ability is of no question.

According to North Wales Live report: “Wrexham are negotiating a deal with Nick Powell and talks are at an advanced stage – he is speaking to other clubs though so nothing has been finalized.” Moreover, Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has no plans to make wholesale changes to his team following promotion from the National League.
However, Powell, if healthy, will prove to be a great asset and bring Wrexham AFC one step closer to the Premier League. Fans are still questioning Nick Powell’s Wrexham move after noticing him at Crewe Alexandra’s training ground.
