Just hours back, Francis Ngannou knocked out Stipe Miocic to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship title at the UFC 260. Discussions and opinions regarding the event transcended the world of MMA, with even the gaming industry buzzing about the fight. One such personality from the world of gaming who absolutely loves MMA and UFC is Dr DisRespect, who shared his thoughts on how things should shape up moving forward.

Ngannou and Miocic stepped into the octagon together for the second time after Miocic’s initial win at UFC 220. The match ended in the second round with Ngannou knocking Stipe out with a punch.

UFC President Dana White’s earlier remarks would mean that Jon Jones would be fighting Ngannou next, but Doc would like to see things go a different route.

Dr DisRespect on who Jon Jones should face

Dr DisRespect would personally like to see Jones fight Stipe first before taking on Ngannou. This could be a better way for Jones to enter the division rather than challenge for the title directly.

Jon Jones moving to the Heavyweight section has been a major talking point for the UFC community. Naturally, the primary point of discussions has been who Jones should take on as his first opponent in the Heavyweight division.

Dana White has expressed that Derrick Lewis is next in line for a shot at the title. Although, if Jones decides to have a go at it first, then that would be the booking UFC proceeds with.

Lewis has been rising up to the challenge, and so it does seem fair to give him a title shot; at least Dr DisRespect thinks so.

Jon Jones set to conquer a new division?

Having ruled the lightweight division for over a decade, Jones has been preparing himself for the big switch for a while now. Jones facing either Stipe or Ngannou would be a dream matchup for the UFC community. Even so, nothing can be foretold at the moment.

“In my opinion, Jon Jones is the greatest of all time in mixed martial arts. Him moving up is going to be a challenge I will take. It’ll be a very good challenge but this time I am the champ, he is coming up and looking for me. I am ready any time soon,” Ngannou said in a post-match interview.

It’ll be interesting to see where things end up. As of now, nothing has been fixed, and we are left with no choice but to wait.
