The Classic is a newly introduced event in the DP World Tour since the postponement of the Qatar Masters. The last week’s Ras Al Khaimah Championship and the Classic are being played at the same golf course. The Danish golfer Nicolai Hojgaard won the Championship last week at the Al Hamra Golf Club.

Nicolai won the Championship with a score of 24-under 264. Meanwhile, England’s Jordan Smith secured the second position with a 20-under par score.

The purse money of the Classic

After the two rounds of the Classic, last week’s winner, Nicolai Hojgaard, couldn’t make the cut, whereas the second place winner Jordan Smith is tied at 74th place. Although the events are played at the same course, after two rounds, it clearly shows that there are a lot of differences between the Classic and the Championship.

However, there is some similarity between the Championship and the Classic of the DP World Tour. The purse money of the Classic is the same as the last week’s Ras Al Khaimah Championship; $2 million. For the first prize winner, the prize money will be $333,330.
