World No.24 Donna Vekic has parted with her coach, Torben Beltz. Torben updated everyone about the decision on his social media handles.
But we could see a controversy erupting here. It seems that Vekic didn’t know the reason for the split. Vekic replied to Torben’s statement. This is what she asked.

So with that reply, it seems that Vekic and Torben had different reasons to end their relationship. Vekic’s reply clears that there might be some internal conflict and the duo might have separated on a bad note. Right Now Vekic hasn’t said anything about her reason.

Torben in a tweet gave his reason for the split. He mentions that they had a difference of opinion on how to start the restart of tennis. He said that Vekic had a different view of organizing the practice and tournament schedule for the restart of the tour.
“Unfortunately, Team Donna and I had different views in setting up the practice and tournament schedule for the restart of the tour which is why we will go separate ways! Thanks, Donna for the last 2,5 years, it was a great ride and I always enjoyed our time together. Good luck to you in the future. Ready for a new adventure.” Torben tweeted

Beltz used to coach German ace Angelique Kerber. He left her in 2017. Torben helped the German with winning her first two Grand Slam triumphs at the Australian Open and the US Open. Kerber defeated Serena Williams in the 2016 Australian Open final to win her first Grand Slam.
After leaving Kerber, Torben started coaching the Donna Vekic. The Young Croat notably reached the US Open quarter-final in 2019. Vekic has been inside the top 50 since 2018. And she reached her highest ranking of 19th after reaching the Quarterfinal of the US Open.
