Not very pleasant scenes are coming out from Houston as the Bills QB Josh Allen appears to have suffered a concussion after slamming his head on the turf. With the Bills trailing by 3-points in the fourth quarter, Allen got to the crossroads of two Texans players who went in for a near sack. However, with that attempt, Allen fell to the ground awkwardly, thereby signalling to the sidelines for medical attention.
As he was treated in the medical tent by doctors and a neurotrauma consultant, back up QB Mitchell Trubisky went in for a snap. But his pass to James Cook didn’t cause any damage as it resulted in no gain. Amid the treatment that Allen received, the Bills’ defense stepped up as they sacked C.J. Stroud on the 15-yard line.

However, Josh came right back up after receiving the necessary treatment as he threw two incompletions while leading the Bills to the end-zone. This drive helped set up Tyler Bass for a 33-yard field goal that tied the game at 20-20 with less than 4 minutes remaining on the clock. But this wasn’t the first time that Bills QB found himself in an injury scare.
Going back to last week against the Ravens, Allen was slow to get back after fumbling a pass in Baltimore. After the game finished in favor of the Ravens for 35-10, the Bills QB said he hurt his lower back upon hitting the floor, but it wasn’t as bad as he thought it would be. Building up to the clash this Sunday, Allen found himself being praised by the Texans DC Matt Burke for the abilities he possesses at the pocket, “He just does some things that a lot of guys don’t do, and I know everyone. There’s a lot of quarterbacks that can get out of the pocket, but the way he extends plays and just until the very last second.”
Although Allen had a strong start to the season, scoring seven TDs and throwing no interceptions. His team might be going through a slum as they fell to yet another defeat on the road this season.

Josh Allen suffers concussion as Bills suffer second loss of the season in Houston
When Allen hurt his head, the NFL fans had flashes of Tua Tagovailoa’s concussion against them in week 2. As reactions started to pour in for the Bills QB, “Prayers: Josh Allen hit his head really hard on the turf.” While other fans also made sure they prayed for Allen’s safety after a brutal head injury, “Prayers that Josh Allen isn’t too badly hurt, you hate to see any star player face injuries.” Well, it’s true, as Allen is having a phenomenal season thus far. Having thrown for 814 yards, he holds a staggering 82.2 QBR, which is the highest for any QB in the NFL this season.
However, this week, his 9-of-30 passes for 131 yards were nowhere near the numbers he would have expected this week. As the Bills lost their second straight game after winning three consecutive to start their season. Going back to this clash, the Bills were set to stretch the game into overtime. But they couldn’t hold on as Texans found themselves a field goal opportunity from 59 yards with 16 seconds left on the clock. And Kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn stepped up to slot in the 3-points, thereby bringing his team their fourth win of the season.

What does it mean for the two teams? Well, the Bills are still top of their AFC East group, while the Texans have solidified their place at the top of the AFC South. However, the loss would hurt the Bills as they need to get back into the winning column after two consecutive losses this season.
