The next iteration in the God of War saga is scheduled for a 2021 release. God of War: Ragnarok was teased at the PlayStation 5 Showcase event, which left the fans overjoyed. GOW 2018 ended with the arrival of Thor, who came face to face with Kratos. It clearly indicates a deep dive into Norse mythology. Thor’s arrival to the franchise could also mean that Ragnarok is imminent, where characters like Loki and Surtur may also make an appearance.

Although, if the game follows different lore, it may even end differently. So far, there is only an IMDB listing for the game which has a February 2021 release date. That is most likely a placeholder date, as the actual game will obviously take a lot of time to develop.
Till then, fans can take full advantage of the next-gen PS5 and play God of War 2018 at the highest possible frame rates.
