Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 6 added the new Armored Royale mode on Call of Duty Warzone. The game mode follows the storyline where players find armored vehicles and go head to head with others. Additionally, players can equip their vehicles with turrets and shields to make the combat even more interesting.
Since the mode is a slight bit different than the usual battle royale, a lot of players have been switching to take a break from the sweaty lobbies. A lot of these players are streamers and content creators who have been taking advantage of the unique nature of the mode to amuse viewers.
One of these videos caught the eye of Joe Cecot, Co-Design Director of Multiplayer at? InfinityWard. He responded to the video through a tweet briefly describing the process that went behind curating the mode.

Developers had deep expectations from the Armored Royale mode in Call of Duty Warzone
Joe said in his tweet, “We had a ton of fun making Armored Royale.” Clearly, the developers were expecting the mode to perform well. Additionally, they were also expecting a lot of players will be engaged in playing the mode and providing feedback to make it better. Hence, Infinity Ward put a lot of effort to make a balanced mode that players can enjoy.

He further added, “The turret overheat mechanic and the truck upgrading really made the mode sing by pacing combat, softly defining player roles and adding more meaningful choice for cash.” Therefore, it appears that the devs had planned the mode well ahead and thoroughly tested it.

The mode is definitely enjoyable, but it works only with squads. Therefore, people who prefer playing solos or duos will miss out on the fun. Moreover, the mode is probably available for a limited time only. There are no updates on whether Infinity Ward plans to make this a permanent mode for the game.
Until the developers intimate any details about the future of the mode, players can squad up to infiltrate Verdansk with only a pistol to their name and will have to scavenge for weapons, equipment, and cash with the help of an armored truck.
