Bungie has done a fantastic job over the years in creating an amazing experience for players in Destiny 2. The developers have constantly tweaked the gameplay and features of the MMORPG title, making it one of the best games from the genre. But along with that, they have also built one of the most interesting storylines and lore with the franchise.
Over the years, fans of the series have heard the name of Savathun. The character has been referenced a lot in the lore, and she has a major role in the franchise. She has controlled most of the storylines in expansions like Forsaken by playing the role of a puppet master. Fans have never seen her, but it looks like she might arrive soon.

Who is Savathun, the Witch Queen?
Savathun is one of the Hive Gods, an alien species that worship and serve the Darkness. She is sister to Xivu Arath, the God of War, and Oryx, the Taken King. The Hive destroys worlds and civilizations in order to live because of the Worms that feed on it while living inside them.
She was born as Sathona on the planet Fundement. She and her siblings were the children of King Osmium. They had to flee their kingdom after the Helium Drinkers killed their father. While escaping, they reached the core of Fundement, where they met the Worm Gods. The Gods then offered them immortality by allowing the Worms to live off them as symbiotes and then spread it across the Proto-Hive. After they accepted it, Sathona morphed into Savathun.
