Destiny 2 Showcase to give fans a taste of the game’s future

Earlier this month, Bungie made a major announcement for an upcoming event for the game. The event titled ‘Destiny 2 Showcase’ will be held on the last day of Season of the Splicer. The tweet also included a message with an image which had the words ‘Survive the Truth’ on top of it. Many believe that this could be a tease for Savathun, the Witch Queen.

Everyone in the community knows that Savathun is the game’s next big bad. For the past few months, she has played the role of a puppet master, pulling the strings of all the troubles for the Guardians. Recently, a lore page revealed that she is living among the Guardians in the Last City by disguising herself, and many believe that she might have taken the mantle of Osiris.

Savathun will be the star attraction of the next expansion for Destiny 2. However, the expansion will arrive in 2022. It remains to be seen if Season of the Splicer will finally showcase this mysterious character to the players. With Season 15, it seems like the developers will showcase reveal more about her story before she finally shows her true intentions in 2022.
