Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer recently introduced a new reward system for fans to enjoy. Bungie revealed this new Corrupted Chests loot system as part of the new Expunge Missions. Players who want to have access to these chests will need to complete the Corrupted Expunge Missions. They were also recently added as part of the weekly reset.
Players can complete the Corrupted Mission by killing the boss at the end. Once the boss dies, players will have access to these chests. But fans would need to work out a way to open them, and that requires Corrupted Key Codes.

Destiny 2 players need to have Corrupted Key Codes
Along with the new rewards system, Bungie also showcased a new consumable item in Corrupted Key Codes. Players who want to open the reward chests from the Corrupted Expunge Missions will need to have these items. They will gain the ability to farm them by completing the Splicer questline. This will add another Splicer Gauntlet Upgrade called Corrupted Access and now fans will receive these Key Codes from drops.
Players can find the Corrupted Key Codes by playing in PvE modes like Nightfall, Overrides and Expunge Missions. They need to make sure that they pick up these tiny items from the drops. Then they can find it in the consumables tab in the Inventory. But fans playing on the Crucible don’t need to worry about that because it will automatically show up after the match ends.

Rewards from the Corrupted Conflux Chests
With the Key Codes, players can open the new Destiny 2 reward chests from the Corrupted Expunge Missions. But before they do that, it’s better to improve the loot from these chests. They can do this by leveling up the Vulnerability Exploit Splicer Gauntlet Upgrade to Tier 3. Each upgrade increases the reward and also improves their chances to drop an Umbral Engram.
Along with that, these chests will also drop some amazing items. Every week players can either receive a high-stat roll of a seasonal piece of armor or they will gain a double-perk roll on a Season of the Slicer weapon. These missions are really easy to complete compared to the other modes such as Raids and Grandmaster Empire Hunts which give similar rewards.

The Corrupted Expunge Missions can be completed solo, and players can do it thrice a week. So, they are guaranteed to gain at least three pieces of high-stat or double-perk roll gear every week. It’s an opportunity Destiny 2 players can’t miss because of its difficulty and rewards, and they should get on it right away.
