Tomorrow, Bungie will finally end Season of the Splicer in Destiny 2. The game’s fourteenth season has introduced a lot of new content for fans to enjoy, like the new Vault of Glass Raid, Expunge missions and many more. However, Season 15 offers to be one of the game’s biggest as we move closer to the Witch Queen expansion.

The expansion arrives in 2022. However, Season of the Lost is just around the corner, and the developers have already revealed a lot about it. Over the past few weeks, This Week At Bungie blog posts have detailed the gameplay changes and tweaks that will arrive with Season 15. This includes nerfs to weapons, reputation system changes, Iron Banner rewards and many more. Along with that, a recent post has also talked about the return of some classic weapons to the game as well.

Trials of the Nine weapons returning to Destiny 2 in Season of the Lost

Recently, the developers talked about a refresh to the loot pool in the most recent This Week At Bungie blog post. The post details the return of the Trials of the Nine weapons in the game as rewards for the Prophecy Dungeon. These weapons will be reissued with new perks that can seriously boost their stats, and fans should definitely keep an eye on them.

Trials of the Nine was a 4v4 Crucible event, added in Destiny 2 as a replacement for Trials of Osiris. The event had a lot of fans, and it provided players with some powerful exclusive weapons as rewards. It ran till the release of Forsaken before Season of the Worthy brought back Trials of Osiris in 2020.

Trials of the Nine weapons that will arrive in Season of the Lost

Bungie hasn’t revealed the names of the weapons that will return in Season of the Lost. However, the post has an image of the six weapons that will definitely make an entry within a few days. The loot pool will bring back the Rapid-Fire Frame Pulse Rifle in the Darkest Before and the Adaptive Frame Auto Rifle in the Last Breath. The Judgement Hand Cannon, which has an Adaptive Frame, will also return with the Precision Frame Sidearm in A Swift Verdict. Finally, the two special weapons will be the Aggressive Frame Sniper Rifle in The Long Walk and A Sudden Death Shotgun which also has the same archetype.

Many of these weapons have some great base stats that should the attract the players to get them. With some new perks added to them, the Trials of the Nine Weapons can cause a shift in the meta category, and fans can’t wait for their release.
