Developer Bungie are going to release a new expansion for Destiny 2. Called Beyond Light, it is the fifth major addition to Destiny 2 since its launch. Moreover, this is the first downloadable content that the developers will release, keeping in mind the next-gen consoles.

Beyond Light will take place on Jupiter’s icy moon Europa, where players will fight the darkness. Therefore, Bungie has added new maps, missions, player gear, weapons, armor, and a raid to the base game. With enough time remaining before the launch, Bungie have revealed the upcoming weapons and armor coming to the expansion.

Destiny 2 Beyond Light brings about 10 new gear

Bungie revealed a combination of around 10 new weapons and armors, along with abilities and extra gear. These will be included in the game right from the launch.

The additions include a gun called ‘No Time to Explain’. The gun has a personal protection portal that keeps shooting while the players are reloading. Developers have also added a sniper rifle called ‘Cloud Strike’ that produces a lightning effect when shot accurately. Additionally, the game will get a knife called ‘Athrys’s Embrace’ which ricochets on hitting surfaces when thrown.

Included in the new look arsenal is ‘The Lament’, equipment that players can use to shred barrier shields. Another addition is the ‘Icefall Mantle’ armor, which replaces the barricade with an overshield. Another important piece of armor included will be the ‘Mask of Bakris’, which will allow players to teleport short distances when equipped.

The expansion will release on November 10 for all platforms, including the next-gen PS5 and the Xbox Series X. It is available in three different editions, with every edition unlocking more benefits and perks than the previous one.
