Buccaneers came into the NFL as title contenders. However, their below-par performance upset a lot of analysts. Pro Football Hall of Famer (2011) Shannon Sharpe explained Brady’s style of play is not working for the Buccaneers. He added that TB12’s running game does not always work.
How Tom Brady lost the plot against the Chiefs
The noted analyst said Tom Brady cannot extend the plays, and he is stuck. He added there was no point in going back to his class because of his old style of playing, which is irrelevant. “I keep telling you because he cannot extend plays. Now you’re stuck, you’re stuck. You keep going back to the class. How did that help him last night? He had Mike Evans, he had Chris Godwin…They turned the ball over,” Sharpe said.
Tom Terrific tried hard to help his team bounce back. He recorded three touchdowns and completed 39 of 52 throws for 385 yards. However, the Bucs’ defense couldn’t resist Patrick Mahomes and men and lost the game 41-31.

Shannon Sharpe talks about empty calories
Talking about Brady’s performance, Sharpe pointed out his game was not his best in recent times. “Tom Brady comes down. Now he is allowed to get seven. He got three. He got a lot of empty calories last night. Every touchdown that he threw, they were at least three stars down. If that’s not the empty calories when the score was 14-13 what did he do when the score was 14-3, what did he do when the score was 21-3?” he concluded.
