Camille Kostek is a well-known figure among NFL enthusiasts. Primarily recognized as the long-time girlfriend of Rob Gronkowski, the former football tight end for the New England Patriots, Kostek is not eclipsed by the shadow of his fame. Kostek started her career as a cheerleader for the Patriots and had her big break after securing a coveted spot on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover in 2019.

She has leveraged her public visibility to advocate for noble causes. On June 8, world ocean day, Kostek makes an urgent plea to safeguard oceans and adopt sustainable habits that benefit mother nature.

Kostek highlights the significance of small changes

Kostek has been actively speaking for the oceans for quite a while now, particularly since she joined as the ambassador of 4Ocean back in 2021, an organization devoted to ending the ocean plastic crisis. Kostek recently took to her Instagram story to emphasize the desperate need for ocean protection and call for immediate action.

“With 70% of earth’s surface covered in water, our oceans are in desperate need of protection.”

Kostek stressed the importance of small gestures in making a significant difference.

 Now while there are steps that we can take to help our planet heal, people cannot be part of the solution until they’re aware of the problem. So one small change like switching to reusables in your day-to-day will make all the difference. One person at a time. So pass the message on”. She reminded.

Born and raised in Connecticut, the model had proclaimed her deep connection to oceans, which fuelled her passion to preserve and protect them.

Ocean is Kostek’s Happy Place

 As a spot where she spent a big chunk of her time as a Swimsuit Model, oceans hold a special place in Kostek’s heart. In an interview with SI Swimsuit, the model stated that during the pandemic she had the opportunity to rekindle her connection with oceans while spending time on the beaches of Connecticut. However, Kostek was dejected at the sight of littered shorelines, the magnitude of the problem prompting her to take action and speak for the voiceless life in the ocean.

Despite the alarming state of the ocean crisis Kostek remains optimistic about forging a better future echoed by her commitment to spread awareness on global causes.
