Sony’s PS5 will hit the stores on November 12, 2020. Many exclusive games will accompany the console’s release, and Demon’s Souls remake is one of the most impressive names on the list. Owing to the collective effort of Bluepoint Games and Sony Interactive Studios, fans will witness an enhanced version of Demon’s Souls.
The game had already set new benchmarks for RPG games when it first released in 2009 for the PS3. However, on the PS5, it looks better than ever.
YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits compared Demon’s Souls’ gameplay on the PS3 and the PS5, and the results are astounding:
Demon’s Souls PS5 remake pays extra attention to every detail
One of the most noticeable changes in the PlayStation 5 version of the game is the detailing. Every slight movement affects the environment, and it looks more authentic than ever. In a specific scene, the protagonist of the game activates an elevator.
In the PS3, it only involved the animations of the moving elevator. However, the PS5 remake has included remarkable details like the dust that resettles on the ground after the elevator’s movement.

Also, the animations for the movement of non-playable characters have been improved. When these characters fall on the ground, they stumble and first try to maintain balance. Such accurate details enhance the realism in the game significantly.
Ray tracing will not be an issue on the next-gen PS5
Demon’s Souls revolves around unexplored locations. As a result, the game looks intense and haunting at first sight. However, the developers have added new lighting effects in the game that amount to a better-looking environment. The game still has a scary look, but the new effects have increased the visibility of the characters and their surroundings.
Ray tracing is the technique through which the developers can trace the light pixels of the objects and make the most accurate shadows and reflections, and one of the best features in the PS5 is its efficient ray tracing. As a result, it seems ray tracing will not be an issue for the Demon’s Souls players.
Better looking demons
The remake of the game follows the same storyline and accordingly, players will have to face the same demons they had faced 11 years ago. However, they look more terrifying and create a sensational impact owing to the several additional details in their basic design. Also, the cut scenes in the game are like the original version, but the enhanced graphics serve their purpose beautifully.
