Demon’s Souls can be considered the father of dark RPGs. This was the OG frustration-fest before games like Sekiro and Dark Souls came to be. The remastered version of the immensely popular title released on PlayStation 5 three days ago, and the community has been loving it since.

However, it is more of a remake than a remaster, as it says on the description on the official website for the game.

“From PlayStation Studios and Bluepoint Games comes a remake of the PlayStation classic, Demon’s Souls. Entirely rebuilt from the ground up and masterfully enhanced, this remake introduces the horrors of a fog-laden, dark fantasy land to a whole new generation of gamers. Those who’ve faced its trials and tribulations before, can once again challenge the darkness in stunning visual quality with incredible performance.”

Some have been saying that the door might possibly be a provision for a future DLC. Some have said it is perhaps a Bloodborne tribute. Even on the dedicated subreddit, a user said that the locked door might connect to the Bloodborne remaster. Others say that it is probably something devs put there to troll players.
