The decibels are loud as the NFL season hits today! Fans are heading to watch their sides in action and support them for the games. There’s excitement all around with the competitive league back in action! For the 49ers‘ defensive end, the season couldn’t have been better! While Chief’s one player is still holding out, another – Nick Bosa – bagged a record deal of $170 million for his contract extension.

The deal comes as a double-edged sword as the Kansas City Chiefs Chris Jones’ future lies hanging. Mahomes’ led side are favorites to win the season after their triumphant journey last year. For the viewers and spectators who came in to support the Chiefs. In the side’s tight loss against the Lions, the home team was without their DT. Jones watched the game from his suite at Arrowhead Stadium. There’s no denying that a weakened defense was one of the reasons for the Chiefs’ close loss. Problems are plenty for the reigning champions as Jones isn’t bailing on his requested $28 million contract.

Jones is an integral player for the KC Chiefs. He played a titular role in helping his side to 2 SB titles. The DT had an impressive 2022-23 season with some outstanding stats. He accounted for 44 tackles, 15.5 sacks, four passes defended, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. The only thing common between Jones and Bosa are the fines they’ve copped for missing practice sessions and pre-season games. As the Chiefs ponder Jones’s situation, new problems have emerged for their side given their one-point loss against the Lions.
