Darren Till Makes Bold Prediction For Colby Covington vs Kamaru Usman: He Is a Terrific Fighter

Former UFC interim champion, Colby Covington takes on the undisputed welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman in the main event of UFC 245. This fight is highly anticipated for several reasons. Covington and Usman have bad blood going into the fight, both of them are a lot of similarities in how they fight, and they have many similar opponents in their career. This fight can go in any direction. Both Usman and Covington are two of the best fighters in the division at the moment and that makes this fight very tough to predict. Even UFC middleweight and former welterweight title contender, Darren Till could not make up his mind while predicting this fight.

In an interview with MMA Crazy, when asked about who is going to win the fight between Covington and Usman, Till though leaned towards Usman a bit, he seemed unsure about his prediction.

“I think you put them both together they are the same fighter, but Usman is a bit better. I think Usman has everything that Colby has just a bit better. I think he has got more power. I don’t mind who has got the bigger gas tank. I know that Colby has an unbelievable gas tank. So I think Usman just edges it.”

However, Covington’s performance against the former welterweight champion, Robbie Lawler does not make the prediction easy for Darren Till.

“But you know when you look at what he did to Lawler. A lot of people said Lawler was not the same. I don’t feel like that. I feel like Colby was just too much for Lawler.” continued Till.

Colby Covington is one of the most polarizing personalities in MMA today. With his trash talk, he has managed to piss off not only his opponents but also the fight fans. However, his trash talk can be very misleading and it has nothing to do with the skillset Covington brings into the octagon. Darren Till believes that despite the gimmick Covington is a terrific fighter when he says:

“This is going back to that question. Cause people hate Colby so much and take what he says so personal, they want Usman to win, they are not looking at Colby. Colby is actually a terrific fighter. Forget all the f***ing bullshit he says, because he is an idiot. He is actually a terrific fighter.”

Both Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman are on a reign of terror in the welterweight division. It would be intriguing to see who gets his hands raised at UFC 245. As far as Darren Till is concerned after the impressive debut in the middleweight division he is still waiting for his next opponent.
