It took Daniil another seven years to play his first junior match at a grade four tournament in Estonia in 2009. Apart from the grandslams and ATP Finals, Daniil has lifted six ATP Tour Masters 1000 titles in his glorious career and lost three. Overall, Daniil has won 20 ATP titles in his career so far.

It was in the 2015 Kremlin Cup when he made his ATP debut in a doubles match, partnering Aslan Karatsev.
