US Open 2019 runner-up and No.4 seed Daniil Medvedev revealed that he is finding it difficult to get back his missing mojo at the ongoing ATP World Tour Finals 2019.

Daniil Medvedev’s debut at the year-end tournament in London did not go as planned as the Russian star was derailed by Stefanos Tsitsipas and Rafael Nadal in his two round-robin matches in the Andre Agassi group at the ATP World Tour Finals 2019.

“Yeah, it’s true. As I say, I’m struggling a little bit with finding back my level I had in the USA and Shanghai and St. Petersburg, which is, I should say, I think normal for any sportsman,” Daniil Medvedev said in the post-match press conference at the O2 Arena.

The 23-year-old further praised that the ‘Big Three’ – Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic along with Andy Murray, can win matches even if they do not play at their best. He also suggested that he is missing what the ‘Big Four’ has and will try to work on it.

“That’s what is amazing about top 3, big 3 and Murray before, that even when you kind of look at them and you think, okay, they are not playing as good as they can, they still win these matches. That’s what I’m missing right now, and that’s what I’m going to try to work on it,” the Russian explained.

Medvedev has been knocked out of the 2019 Nitto ATP Finals after Rafael Nadal defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in his final round-robin match in London on Friday. However, Nadal’s semifinal spot still depends on Medvedev as the Russian will have to defeat Zverev for the Spaniard to qualify for the last four.
