The Russian machine of tennis, Daniil Medvedev seems unstoppable this season, he claimed his second consecutive Masters 1000 season in Shanghai after playing some clutch tennis against the German lad, Alexander Zverev.
“Everybody is talking that they need new guys, something new, so I gave them something new. I don’t celebrate my wins, I just stay calm and do my job. Done,” Medvedev said right after his victory. He defeated Zverev, 6-4, 6-1 to pull off the Rolex Shanghai Masters 2019 title on the Chinese count.

After ten years, the Shanghai Masters tournament has had a champion not named Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray. The first one was Nikolay Davydenko in 2009 and ten years later, his compatriot, Daniil Medvedev sealed the title and remarked the advent of a new phase in men’s tennis or probably the arrival of the new era.

Last month in New York, Medvedev was on the brink of making his Grand Slam breakthrough at the US Open 2019, but some warrior-like tennis from Rafael Nadal obstructed the next generation star to show up on the big court of tennis. “It’s something outrageous what I’ve done in the last few months,” Medvedev said after his win. “I wouldn’t have believed it.”
His staggering perform on the ATP Tour has dropped jaws on the amongst numerous professional tennis players and tennis followers around the globe. “As I said yesterday you’re probably the best player in the world right now and it’s unbelievable,” Zverev addressed to Medvedev. “All the best to you.”

The 23-year-old Medvedev holds a 29-3 win-loss record in his past six tournaments. The Russian lad has won the most number of matches this season and the count extends to 59. In total, he has won the most number of hard court matches, 46.
He has won 22 matches at Masters 1000 tournaments which is the highest this year. Also, Medvedev has reached the most finals on the ATP circuit this year and the count extends to number nine, out of those nine, he claimed four titles.
