Conor McGregor is celebrated as one of the UFC’s most formidable knockout artists, a reputation shared by fellow fighter Dustin Poirier. Both have amassed an impressive 33 KO/TKO victories in their careers, solidifying their status as elite strikers. However, a new contender is rising in the fight world, and he’s catching the eye of none other than Dana White. Enter 23-year-old Irish boxer Callum Walsh, who many believe could soon challenge the legacy of these top-tier fighters.
Much like ‘Mystic Mac,’ Walsh hails from Ireland and has already sparked comparisons with McGregor. Fans are buzzing with excitement, especially after Walsh boldly announced his intention to break McGregor’s knockout record. Despite the parallels being drawn, the young boxer is clear about his own path. He insists that he’s not trying to be the next Conor McGregor, but rather forge his own unique legacy in the fight game.
As Walsh continues to climb the ranks, the question remains: will he live up to the hype and step out of McGregor’s shadow to make his mark on combat sports? The anticipation is palpable, and the fight world will be watching closely to see if this rising star can deliver on his promise.

Callum Walsh comments on the comparison with Conor McGregor
Walsh is an 11-0 undefeated streak fighter from Dublin Ireland to become one of the highest prospects at Super Welterweight. He has not fought as a pro yet but it is going to happen on September 20 against Przemyslaw Runowski at the 3Arena in Dublin in a fight streamed by UFC Fight Pass. The 23-year-old has been compared to Conor McGregor more than once and he decided to answer. He spoke about the pressure of media and press with Kevin Iole. He said, “You know I’m not too worried you know I’ve never been too worried about doing too much Media or doing you know. I understand it’s all part of it you know it’s part of uh selling the fight and um and people want to know who they’re who they’re watching too.”
The young fighter added that he is here to enjoy it especially because he only has to answer about fights. He hilariously commented how he does not have to be suited up and be extremely professional for the interviews since he is an athlete and can be himself. The up-and-coming super welterweight star is already seen as the next McGregor including White however he does not like the comparison.

He told TMZ, “I’m trying to make my path and do my own thing.“ However, there is no bad blood between them because Walsh has met before and he considers McGregor to be a role model. However, he still challenged his idol to a punching machine competition.
Callum Walsh challenged Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier
Fighters always try to test their strength especially when it comes to striking. For this reason, there is a punching machine that can record the number of units that an age fighter achieves after striking. Both McGregor and Poirier have previously tested their striking strength. ‘The Diamond’ had a score of 847 Newton and McGregor scored 860 Newtons. However, the young Irish boxer had a far higher school than both the senior athletes. He secured a score of 977 newtons.

However, since he is a boxer his striking is going to be better than a grappler or a UFC fighter. However, he still commented on the post by TJ Santis and wrote, “I’ll challenge any man on the punch machine.”
Now Walsh is heading home to Dublin to face his next opponent and this is going to be a pro fight. He is already unbeaten but this is going to be his first professional fight in his home country. Do you think he will be able to impress the UFC CEO?
