Dana White hasn’t been short of personal tuffs recently. To add to the list, John Oliver is the not so latest addition to this list.
Just around the time, UFC was going to make its comeback for UFC 249 this May, John Oliver did a segment about it on his HBO show “Last Week Tonight”. He took the piece and ran a few jokes on it. Mocking Dana White for hosting an event amidst a global pandemic.
That wasn’t the only angle though. Oliver also said Dana could have been more imaginative with the name of his infamous “Fight Island”. His top suggestion with the name actually struck off. White soon after watching the show went on to trademark the name “UF-Sea” and also mocked Oliver saying he won’t be giving him his cut for the idea.

This escalated the feud even further. On an episode of his show, Oliver took shots at Dana White holding a mug with “Baddest MotherF**ker” printed on it. He used that as an in to make fun of White and also sarcastically asked if he had copy written that as well.
Oliver also made remarks about Dana White even initially not having an original name for his island. And that he copied the idea from a TMZ reporter.

Of Course White had to strike back. He recently attended an interview with Barstool Sports and started off the show with a mug in hand. Seems similar? That’s exactly what John Oliver did. And this time Dana White’s mug had the name of Oliver’s show printed on it.

Though he didn’t say much about it or address the fact at all, the interviewer said “We all know what you’re trying to do here.” And yes, we all do. Dana White struck back quietly and slyly. What do you think will be Jon Oliver’s response to this?
