The UFC is supposedly gearing up for another season of The Ultimate Fighter. Aaron Bronsteter took to Twitter to share the news that Dana White revealed in an interview.

The Ultimate Fighter is an American reality television show based around the UFC and its recruitment of fighters. The series is a Mixed Martial Arts competition produced by FoxSports 1 and the Ultimate Fighting Champion.

The show features professional MMA fighters living together in Las Vegas, Nevada. It follows them as they train and fight against one and another for a prized six-figure contract with the UFC. The series first went on air in 2005 with their debut season. It has now aired 150 episodes stretched over 28 seasons. The last season of TUF had its finale on the 30th of November, 2018.

There are now talks of the show beginning the preparations for their 29th season. Aaron Bronsteter got this information while at an interview with Dana White. He then publically announced this news via a Twitter thread.

“In an interview on ESPN 690 in Jacksonville (one-timd Dana White Contender Series fighter) @A_Train_92 asked whether now would be the perfect time to reboot The Ultimate Fighter due to a lack of sports programming.    White: “We’re literally working on that right now”

So there we have it, Dana White confirmed that the franchise is working on the 29th season of the show. There literally couldn’t be a better time for this show to air. With the global pandemic looming over the entire world, and everyone stuck indoors due to the social distancing and lockdown measures, the show will for sure come as a welcome relief to many. It will be something to look forward to in these challenging times.

Every season, pros from the UFC are a part of the show. They pose as mentors/team leads that help the contestants and give them insights into what it takes to grow in the UFC.


Dana White spoke of this season’s probable mentors. The same twitter thread continued, saying “White mentioned Usman/Covington, Usman/Masvidal, Adesanya/Costa, and Khabib/Tony or Justin as strong candidates as coaches for The Ultimate Fighter’s return.”
