Cyberpunk 2077 is perhaps the most anticipated game of the decade. It has been a long time coming since fans have been looking forward to such an immersive experience. Little we have seen, and yet, the game got us hooked on from the first instance. Not to mention the fact that Keanu Reeves is just a bonus factor.
Just a few days ago, we learned that the game would be delayed until November. The official twitter acknowledgment established the following information. The game won’t be dispatched until it is absolutely ready and up to the mark. They also suggested that executing such a radical decision to extend the date will create a lot of repercussions for the fans.
The latest update on Cyberpunk 2077 is that it will be available for all platforms. The developers have optimized the game in such a way that it would be available for all versions of your console/PC.

The recent tweet mentioned the following facts – “We are happy to confirm that Cyberpunk 2077 will be backwards compatible with both next-gen consoles! Your PS4 copy of the game will work on PS5 on launch day. Anyone who buys the game on Xbox One will be able to play their copy on Xbox Series X when the console launches too!”
Thus, it is quite clear to us now why the developers wanted to take a little time before releasing the game. Perhaps these optimizations are trivial. Nevertheless, the foresight to amend them is the main thing.

The initial reason given to us that the game is not ready seemed a little bit obscure. They have been working on this for years, yet there are facets they have not touched. Regardless, the devs said that “With such an abundance of content and complex interweaving with each other, we need to properly go through everything.”
The attention to detail part did convince us and soothed our anticipation. For now, what we fans have to understand is that optimization was one factor. The other factors might be making the details more functional. We know that they want to give the best experience to us. The best we can do now is not lose our faith and patiently wait for the official release date (November 19th).
