If there was an award for The Most Anticipated Game, CD Projekt’s Cyperpunk 2077 would win it hands down. Previously, a ton of content regarding this has been released and more of it just keeps coming. The release of the book, The World of Cyberpunk 2077 has released a ton of features for the players who await their chance to explore Night City. Here we will be talking about weapon manufacturers inside the game. Furthermore, we have a word from the devs about the water-related content in the game. CD Projekt recently delayed the release of the game, again. Fair research into the components of Night City and its characters should give anyone the smallest idea why this game is taking so long. It is huge and it is every bit exciting. So while we wait, let’s catch up on what Night City has to offer.

The World Of Cyberpunk 2077 gave us a detailed insight into the weapon systems that we are to expect in the game. A weapon manufacturer list is provided divided into 3 parts. In the top tier, we see dominant Asian companies Arasaka and Tsunami from Japan. Joining them in the top slot is a Chinese corporation, Kang Tao. These industries are known for their high functioning weapons and defense systems. In the middle tier, we have American companies such as Militech, Midnight Arms, and Malorian. Malorian is well-known for their handguns but at the moment are in a mess having produced nothing new in 30 years. They are also accompanied by a Russian company Textpohnka and Constitutional Arms who make excellent shotguns and machine guns.
The last tier consists of Nokota Manufacturing, Rostovic, Darra Polytechnic, and Budget Arms. These companies produce highly customizable weapons that are cheap and unsophisticated. BA even provides 3D printed DIY guns which are a bit questionable.
In addition to all of these, there will also be monoknives and katanas. One important feature we will see in weaponry is the customization feature. Other melee weapons include cyberware like: Reinforced Knuckles, Nanowire, and Mantis blades.
Got my World of Cyberpunk 2077 book! Between that and the TTRPG, I've never been this pre-studied on lore for a game before.

Ocean content update
In a recent Cyberpunk 2077 podcast developer, Miles Tost answered a few questions regarding water in Cyberpunk 2077. He points out water exploration will be possible but is not the main focus. He says,
“I will say this Cyberpunk 2077 is not a water exploration game. We have swimming mostly because we want to give you the freedom to explore.” Night City is located on the coast and it would have been impractical to have no water in the game. He also confirmed none of the cyberware react differently to water. So yes you can dive and swim but do not expect much from the ocean inside of the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on November 19th this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and the next gen consoles.
