After three delays, CD Projekt RED is finally on track to release Cyberpunk 2077 on December 10. However, to build up the hype, CDPR has distributed early copies to streamers. Various Twitch streamers including Shroud received a copy of the game ahead of launch.

The streamers started streaming the game as soon as they got their copy. However, while CDPR handed out Cyberpunk 2077 to every other popular creator, it left xQc out. Although Twitch handed him a temporary suspension, he came back to stream a while ago.

xQc wanted to stream arguably the most-awaited game of the decade, along with other top streamers. CDPR left him extremely disappointed by not giving him a copy.

xQc asks Twitter to help him get Cyberpunk 2077

At 4 AM, xQc sent out a tweet asking fans to help him with a code. He said he had exhausted every other option and had to ask Twitter for help. xQc wanted to stream the game earlier than others to get those views. However, he couldn’t manage to get the game.

His dream of playing  Cyberpunk 2077 at the same time as other big streamers was so close. Just a couple of hours after this tweet, xQc posted another tweet. In that tweet, the variety streamer said that the developers pulled through. He thanked them and said that he will stream the game all day.

By this time, everything looked fine for the Canadian streamer. However, the 60K+ fans that joined xQc on his stream earlier today know what happened next. He spent around an hour and a half waiting to download the game from the code he got from CDPR.

He watched a few trailers and other videos on YouTube while waiting. By the end of his stream, as soon as the progress bar hit 100, the dialogue box closed. When xQc opened the game, it showed the message available only for those with an early copy of the game, “Go back to sleep samurai. Its not December 10 yet.”

Visibly annoyed at this, xQc ended his stream without playing the game.

The streamer also deleted both the tweets since he was actually not playing Cyberpunk 2077. However, it appears that a few hours later his luck turned around and he somehow managed to get the right version. The streamer set up his stream just a few hours after this incident and was the second most popular CP 2077 streamer on Twitch only after Shroud who gathered over 100K viewers.
