Blast Premier announced a major decision to allow coaches to be in the same room as the players. The ruling by the leagues says that it will allow communication between the players and the coaches for future events. The ruling will first take place at CS: GO Blast Premier Spring Groups that start from February 4.
The league has announced that it has made various mechanisms to counter any cheating or exploits. The league will also look into the Valve rules that were recently implemented, but until then, the system will stay for the upcoming spring groups and future events.

Blast will allow coaches for CS:GO Spring Groups
The eSports league which began in 2020 has taken this which goes against the norm set by Valve. Valve had blocked coaches from being in the same room for all its Regional Major Rankings since it found the coaching exploit in September 2020.
Blast also believes that it has the requisite system to combat coaches from using any such exploits. The mechanism the league has set will enable the officials to monitor any wrongdoings by any coaches with real-time information. The league believes coaches are integral for a better team performance that is why it has taken such a decision.

Valve, the creator behind CS: GO, revealed its new coaching integrity system in a blog post released a week ago. It introduced the system after a lot of major teams used an exploit during online events that had taken place in September 2020. Using the coaching exploit allowed teams to receive unfair advantages which lead to a major crackdown in many online events.
Many coaches from the teams received bans from CS: GO events with different severity for using the camera exploit. To counter teams from using such exploits, Valve brought in a demerit points system.
The system clearly states that depending upon the number of demerit ESIC points a coach receives, it will ban the coach from the same number of CS: GO Majors. Also, a coach will receive a permanent ban if s/he garners over 6 ESIC demerit points.

It will be pretty interesting to see if Blast sticks to its guns and be successful for it or if teams can somehow bypass its system. If no huge cheating scandals come out of it, more leagues will surely follow suit. If the system fails, however, all Majors will incline to Valveās guidelines.
