CS: GO competitive team, Dignitas did not have their best season in 2020. The roster, which is full of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive veterans, was very successful in the initial years of the game, but recent performances have been disappointing.
Dignitas’ roster this season includes CS: GO veterans Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg, Adam “friberg” Friberg, Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli, Christopher ” GeT_RiGhT” Alesund, Richard ” XzizT” Landström. Looking at the team, it is hard to believe it wasn’t part of HLTV’s top 30 team rankings this season.

Dignitas recently tweeted that they had decided to bench veterans like GeT_RiGhT and Xizt from the team’s starting roster. The decision was taken after a discussion with all the players. The organization explained the reason behind the decision in a straightforward manner.
“Our recent results have not lived up our fans’ expectations.”
Dignitas will continue to support both GeT_RiGhT and Xizt while the veterans take the next step in their iconic careers. The organization has already started searching for two new players and will update the fans on this by next week.

What is next for the CS: GO veterans?
A few years back, both GeT_RiGhT and Xizt were absolute beasts in the gaming scenario. However, peaks and valleys are part of the game and life. And now, both players have a different outlook for their careers following the recent development.
GeT_RiGhT is very excited to share his plans moving forward in his career. Xizt has decided to step back for a while and introspect. One thing is for sure; this is not the end for either of the veterans.
Leaving Dignitas after a disappointing season and bad results. Haven't felt like myself for a long time and will take some time to reflect and figure out my next step! Best of luck to the team in the future and also to Christopher ❤️ https://t.co/FZH4wpGhpE

Competitive CS:GO was held in an online format this season due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was a major deviation from the usual LAN format, which might have affected the two veterans’ performances. But with the pandemic, LAN tournaments are not practical in near future and it is understandable that organizations don’t want to lose their money on underperforming players.
