Crysis Remastered was one of those games that built a considerable amount of hype last year. The era-defining FPS classic that used to dominate gaming back in the day, got a remastered version for the new-gen of gaming. The release of Crysis Remastered was nothing short of an absolute hit, although it was only available on PC and the previous-gen consoles. With the remastered title, Crysis brought back the age-old iconic question, “Can your machine run Crysis?”

Crysis Remastered features advanced ray-traced graphics and other enhancements, visual and otherwise. Crytek made sure that its iconic FPS title gets the version it deserves for the new-gen hardware. Players had been eagerly waiting for further enhancements for the new-gen version of the game. Finally, they can rest easy, as the title got a major update earlier today.

Crysis Remastered: patch notes for the latest update

The official Twitter handle of the game posted the announcement for this latest update earlier today. Apart from gameplay enhances and a new level, the latest update has also added the classic Nanosuit controls as well. Now, this is something that is sure to invoke nostalgia among old-school gamers.

The changes that devs have made on all the versions include:

  • Devs have added a new level for the first time ever on consoles: Ascension.

  • They have also added the Classic Nanosuit menu.

  • Performance improvements as well as resolving many potential crashes.

Now, as for changes that are specific for the new-gen consoles from Xbox and PlayStation:

  • Performance mode – 1080p – 60 fps

  • Quality mode – 1800p – 60 fps

  • RayTracing – 1440p – 60 fps

Furthermore, this latest update has also made an array of bug fixes in the game. For instance, the game will now no longer crash when loading into a mission. Devs have also fixed an issue that resulted in not being able to accelerate/decelerate the VTOL with the left thumbstick.
