The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to face huge monetary losses if the IPL is annulled this year. Also, if reports are to be believed, BCCI can lose about Rs. 4000 crores if the tournament doesn’t take place. Many cricket boards across the world are terminating their employees or cutting their salaries to recover from financial losses. BCCI for that matter hasn’t taken any such decision till now.

Talking about the same, BCCI’s treasurer Arun Dhumal told The New Indian Express, “There has been no pay cut or lay-off as of now. But we have cut costs on other fronts like travel, hospitality, etc,”
