Former England captain Nasser Hussain warned the people to not push MS Dhoni into retirement this early. He further added that such players are born once in a generation.?

MS Dhoni last played for India in the World Cup 2019 semi-final against New Zealand. In the match, the Kiwis outshined the Indians. Since then there has been no news of MS making a comeback in the Indian team.?

Earlier there were speculations that Mahi will return in the National team after IPL 2020. However, things have gone for a toss after the outbreak of coronavirus in the world.?

From time to time many people have given various statements regarding the future of MS Dhoni in the game of cricket. But there has been no official confirmation from neither MS nor the BCCI.?

A few days ago, cricket legends Kapil Dev and Sunil Gavaskar admitted that it’s getting difficult for the former captain to comeback in the team after such a prolonged break. However, the former England captain thinks otherwise.

MS Dhoni is a good talent: Nasser Hussain

While talking on a Star Sports show, Nasser Hussain expressed his thoughts about the most talked topic in cricket; the future of MS Dhoni.?

Nasser exclaimed, “Once Dhoni is gone, there is no getting him back. There are some legends of the game, appreciating while around because they are once-in-a-generation cricketer. Don’t push him into retirement too early. Only Dhoni knows his mental state. In the end, the selectors select and players turn up when asked to,”?

He further added, “Is MS Dhoni still good enough to get on the Indian side? It is as simple as that. That should apply to anyone across the board. What I have seen of Dhoni, I still think he has a huge amount to offer for Indian cricket,”

Also, the 52-year-old didn’t shy away from pointing out the mistakes of the former Indian captain during the 2019 World Cup. Without taking the name of the match he has talking about, Hussain revealed that there were few games where MS failed to force the pace of the innings.?

He admitted, “Yes, it’s been one or two occasions where he (MSD) got it wrong in run-chases. There was a World Cup game in England where he sort of blocked at the end for some unknown reason, but in general MS Dhoni is still a really good talent and be careful what you wish for,”
