According to BCCI?s release, Rajasthan Royals will be hosting Delhi Capitals on the 5th. Next, they will host Kolkata Knight Riders on the 9th. Both of these games will commence at 8 o?clock in the evening.

Rajasthan Royals will be using the facilities of the stadium for a span of 3 days. This 3-day camp will be to ensure the team adjusts to the ground conditions of their second home.

According to IAN reports, the source said the team practising will include names like Uthappa and other big names. However, which players will surely be there depends on the teams they are in for the Ranji Trophy. However, the primary focus on the camp will be to give the players an idea of the ground.

?The whole idea is to get a hang of conditions because if we get the clearance from the court, it will be our second home ground.?

Request to change home-base

Previously Rajasthan Royals put forward a request to the IPL committee to grant moving their home base from Jaipur?s Mansingh Stadium. The primary reason for this request is the harassment the franchise has been tolerating from officials for the last couple of years.

According to Times of India, the officials of the team said, ?Be it at the state?s sports council, under whose aegis the Rajasthan Cricket Association(RCA) falls, the state machinery catering to law and order, the former officials of the RCA itself and the political bigwigs in the state?they?ve all collectively given Rajasthan Royals nothing but trouble over the years.?

Unfortunately for the team, the request did not receive permission. On the contrary, the franchise faced a PIL from petitioners which stated that moving the home base from Jaipur to Guwahati will be an embarrassment for Rajasthan.
