CPL fans around the world who were expecting to see a Gayle storm at the Guyana National Providence Stadium were in for a great disappointment as rain deprived them from seeing their favourite player in action.
The local fans came out in great numbers to see the game between the Jamaica Tallawahs and the Guyana Amazon Warriors in action only to be disappointed as heavy rainfall continued during the night forcing match officials to call off the game.
This game was important for both teams as the Warriors who is in fifth position were hoping to maintain their winning position so as to increase their chances to the next rounds while the Tallawahs who are in third position were looking to regain their winning momentum as they were defeated in their last two games and one of those was against the Warriors who pulled off a 84 runs victory against them.
The next game will be between the Red Steel who need to win as they are at the bottom on the points table and the Barbados Tridents who are in first position. The warriors next game will be against Zouks on the 17th while the Tallawahs will take on Red Steel on the 19th.
