Cloud9’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster is currently in a phase of restructure. The team has already announced three signings but has been on the hunt for three more, as HenryG (GM of Cloud9) hopes to build an ‘active’ six-member roster.

Another CSO organization has decided to rebuild its roster after failing to meet the expected standards. MiBR has been going through a trophyless season and so is looking forward to new signings as a way to progress. The team recently let go of four of its players, including Fernando “fer” Alvarenga and Epitasio “TACO” de Melo.

According to the rumors that have just surfaced, these former MiBR players could find a new home at Cloud9. There is no official word from either of the teams or any of the players involved. But it could be just a matter of time as HenryG has been on his toes to acquire experienced players.

MiBR had an awful start to this month. ESL Pro League Season 12 culminated with probably the biggest scandal that Counter-Strike has been through. MiBR’s coach, Ricardo ‘dead’ Sinigaglia, was one of the three coaches that was banned for exploiting a ‘coach bug.’

To make matters worse, MiBR let go of three of its most experienced players after a cluster of poor performances, leaving only two active players in the roster.

Cloud9 too has failed to meet set standards and so has announced its fourth restructure in less than three years. But the team has announced a few quick signings, hoping to return to winning ways. HenryG believes that ‘kassad’ can utilize the potential of the players and help them bloom.

Fernando “fer” Alvarenga and Epitasio “TACO” de Melo will provide a lot of experience and balance to the roster that also consists of William “mezii” Merriman, who is yet to make his mark on the competitive scene.

All the teams have a busy schedule ahead. Cloud9 has made quick signings to give its players enough time to strategize for the upcoming tournaments. It’s just a matter of time before we hear another update from the North American organization. Stay in the loop to find out what happens next.
