

Rocket League recently announced that the popular Collegiate Rocket League (CRL) event is back! For those who do not know, CRL is a replica of inter-school soccer leagues (but with cars). This time the event has prize money of $100,000 in scholastic awards. Additionally, the winning team will also get an invitation to the CRL National Championship that takes place in January next year.

The official website for the game has already released the complete details of the event, from participation to qualifiers. They have also released the schedule for the event. So, without further ado, let’s get right to it!
Note:Â Participating players must be enrolled full time in college, university, or vocational-technical school in Canada or the USA and have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA or similar grading.
Registration and qualifiers of Collegiate Rocket League
First, students will need to gather a squad and complete the open registration with their school. There are two qualifying events, but squads need only qualify in one. Basically, each squad gets two chances to qualify.
The first qualifier is on the 20th of September, the registration for which ends on the 18th of September. The second qualifier is on the 27th of September, and the registration for this ends on the 25th of September. Once again, teams can sign up for both the qualifiers.

There will be a total of 32 teams competing against each other, 16 a piece from Eastern and Western Conference, respectively. Teams from each conference will compete with each other in a round-robin format.
This time, the tournament has included a CRL Wildcard event, which includes teams from CRL and other collegiate leagues, including PlayVS and the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE x Skillshot).
The top teams qualifying from these individual events will move on to compete with each other in the said CRL Wildcard Event. The teams qualifying there will compete in the CRL National Championship. The official CRL broadcasts of the events will run as follows:

1st week: October 6, 7
2nd week: October 13, 14
3rd week: October 20, 21
4th week: October 27, 28
5th week: November 4, 5
6th week: November 10, 11
7th week (Playoffs): November 17, 18
Wildcard: TBD December
