The Xbox Series X and S have launched, and the fans can finally dive into the next-gen gaming experience. Although, the journey hasn’t gotten off on the best of starts as some rather bizarre events unfolded following the launch.

First, there were reports of smoke coming out of the Xbox Series X. This video went viral across the internet as people started to believe that Xbox had overheating problems. Even before the launch, there were many claims suggesting the Series X did overheat, but those were soon debunked.

Fortunately, the smoke video turned out to be fake, and it turned out the people actually put vape smoke in their Xbox. The official Xbox account acknowledged this in the most hilarious way and urged people not to put vape smoke in the Series X.

Xbox Series X may not actually be able to float ping pong balls

Shortly after, an image surfaced on Reddit which suggested that the Xbox could float a ping pong ball over it. Initially, it looked brilliant and did several rounds on the internet. Even the official Xbox account responded to one of the tweets.

The image above shows the ball in green. This is because several members requested that the ball’s color should be changed from orange to green. One of the members obliged and edited the color. Although, even this may not be entirely true.

Another Reddit user pointed out that the ball was indeed being held by a wire, which was later edited out of the picture. Take a look at the picture below to see how exactly it worked.

This was not posted by the same person, so it may very well be false. Although, VG247 tested the ping-pong ball theory themselves and were reportedly unsuccessful. So, it seems that this too was fake news. Nevertheless, the ping-pong ball situation was still quite amusing to see. Thankfully, it wasn’t as defamatory as the false smoke video.
