Chelsea FC have shown interest in the FC Augsburg defender Baba Rahman.

The Blues are set to replace Filipe Luis, who is keen to move to his former club Atletico Madrid. Inter Milan too have shown interest in the Brazilian fullback.

The Premier League Champions will face stiff competition from their rivals Arsenal and Manchester City who are also keen to land the Ghana based defender.

The 20-year-old defender was rated as the best in Bundesliga last season which has led to interest from German clubs too.

The defender has made it clear that he wants to leave the club for Champions League Football next season. The club too has no objection in cashing-in their player for 14.2 million Euros.

Rahman wants to play Champions League football but needs a place in the first team too. Chelsea might not be able to offer him that since Cesar Azpilicueta, who has been great for The Blues, will challenge him for the spot.

The defender is in Ghana right now for his holidays and will join the club next month for the pre-season. The Ghanian would want his future sorted out sooner than that. Will Chelsea capture him before others wrap up the deal?
