Looks like Chelsea’s masked hero would be parting with the Blues, after an immensely successful 11 year run.

Thibaut Courtois was summoned last season by Jose Mourinho, who is known to have no emotional attachments to players when it comes to playing the best XI available for his team. Clearly the aging Petr Cech (Age 33) was a shade inferior to the young and tall Belgian keeper, who had impressed everyone in his loan spells at Atletico Madrid. Cech, was pretty much second choice to Courtois all through the previous season something understandable if you knew Mourinho. In a move to get more first team action, it is almost certain that the club legend will be parting the Blues this season and most likely touted to join London rivals Arsenal. The move to Arsenal happening only because Cech’s family is settled and completely adjusted to life in London and hence the shift to a local London club.

So where are Chelsea in terms of finding a replacement and backup keeper to Courtois? They could call in Jamal Blackman, but those would be really big shoes to fit in for the young keeper who has pretty much lacked top level experience. Jose Mourinho never takes chances when it comes to squad replacements, and knowing so only means a well reputed and top class Goal Keeper signing is on its way as a replacement.

Words are flying around that Asmir Begovic of Stoke City could be the replacement and second choice keeper, however Stoke would want a good deal with the option of Chelsea winger Victor Moses going the other way. However, there’s no solid rumor or bids known to have been submitted yet. Having said that, the Petr Cech move is still yet to be finalized officially.

So who will be the incoming keeper? Will it be Begovic or will it be someone else from the Premier League? Only Jose knows.
