Chelsea have agreed to sign Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado for €33 million from Fiorentina with Mohammed Salah heading to the Italian Club for an 18 month loan deal.

The Colombian international has been one of the star attraction last world cups and since then he was linked to big clubs including Manchester United. Chelsea had previously been told that the player would not be allowed to move for less than his €35m release clause but were able to reach a compromise by including Salah as part of the deal. Mohammed Salah has made just 8 appearances in all competitions this season and has looked less impressive too. The Egyptian already had interests from Roma but that was brought to a halt as Fiorentina offered Cuadrado for him. Intrestingly during the last press conference Chelsea manager Jose  Mourinho said that the Colombian winger won’t be a perfect buy for his squad and would not fit in to the current squad. But this again will go as one of those “mind games” that he is popular for.

Another out-of-favour winger Andre Schurrle has been heavily linked with Wolfsburg, but Mourinho insists that he won’t let the German leave.
