Bob Arum makes a huge statement, says Anthony Joshua won’t be able to defeat Kubrat Pulev. Speaking in the context of the recently agreed to fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury for the unified heavyweight crown, Bob Arum said that match isn’t likely to take place.
Just this week, sources revealed that Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have agreed to a 2 fight deal for the year 2021. Though the agreement was in principle, everyone sees the deal going through. Because the fight is for the unified title, it comes with on prerequisite. Both of the fighters must hold their title at the time and for that, they need to win their upcoming bouts.
Tyson Fury will take on Deonaty Wilder in their trilogy bout to settle all ties and Anthony Joshua will take on his mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev. And legendary promoter doesn’t see Anthony Joshua coming out victorious at this fight and hence says the deal in place for 2021 is unnecessary.

Anthony Joshua is put under the microscope
Arum says he’s been in the business for long enough and has seen enough to say that Anthony Joshua hasn’t got what it takes. He isn’t what people make of him. He thinks Joshua will face the same result he did against Andy Ruiz Jr. in their first clash.
Bob Arum said, “This is bizarre in discussing a potential fight between Fury and Joshua, four to six weeks ago, we arrived at this formula that the fight would be 50-50 and the next fight would be 60-40 depending on who won the fight. “

HE added, “So for me this old news. Nothing else is decided, and there’s a lot of issues with television and so forth that I’m sure with time will be decided. There are only two little problems.”
Bob Arum is Tyson Fury’s promoter. Speaking about Fury, Arum said, “One problem is my guy Fury still has a match against Wilder, and Wilder is not a pushover. Remember how everyone thought Wilder was going to be for Fury going into the last fight. Well, I think we’re going to see a different Wilder for this third match for these two guys. And as far as Joshua is concerned that my guy [Kubrat] Pulev, and I co-promote Pulev is going to knock Joshua on his a**.”

And if a fight does happen, he said it won be next year for sure. “Certainly, not next year. That shouldn’t be a headline because the reason I don’t think it’s going to happen is that my guy Pulev will beat the crap out of Joshua when they fight later this year,” said Arum.”
What do you think? Is Bob Arum right?
