After Vince McMahon‘s failed efforts, Dwayne Johnson took up the ownership of XFL. So far, he has done a great job with running the refurbished league. After buying the league for $15 million, ‘The Corporate Champion’, with the help of his ex-wife and business partner, Dany Garcia successfully carried out the new XFL season.

However, it did not all go peaches and cream for the new XFL owners. Recent reports have shed light on the fact that Johnson’s version of the XFL season suffered a loss of $60 million. ‘The Brahma Bull’ recently made a comment on suffering a major setback.

While speaking to Jabari Young of Forbes magazine, ‘The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment’ confessed, he is still optimistic about XFL’s future. He has high hopes that his $15 million venture will become successful in the long run.

“This is not just an endeavor that’s going to fill up a portfolio and one day we flip it and we’re out,” he said. He added, “This is legacy. This is the long game.” Johnson is not the one to give up so easily. Therefore, he claims that despite suffering a considerable loss, he knows XFL is here to stay in the market.

He feels it is just a bump in the road. And suffering a setback won’t faze him so easily. He claims that his lifelong dream-turned-project will yield results in the future. XFL chairwoman, Garcia also believes the same.

Just like Johnson, Garcia is also optimistic that XFL will become immensely successful in the future. She claimed they are “well-capitalized” for the future. Therefore, receiving the $60 million hole in the pocket is not a big deal for them as they will recover from the loss in the next seasons.

She also claimed that their aim is to make XFL as successful as the sports entertainment giant, WWE. And she has full faith that she and her ex-husband will accomplish their goals. Plus, Forbes wrote in the magazine that the XFL revenue target for next season is $100 million.

If history is any indication, then you know that whatever Johnson touches, it turns to gold. For instance, Teremana Tequila, Zoa Energy, Seven Bucks Productions, and many other business ventures of ‘The Great One’ have turned out to be fruitful in the past.
